The Ethembeni Special School for student with disabilities.

The school is funded by the state and often doesn’t have enough resources to provide for all their students. The school relies on the generosity of external resources through organisations, like GivenGain, to ensure students receive the needed care.

The Ethembeni School is special school for learners with physical and mental disabilities. Undoubtably the school grew and blossomed substantially ever since being established in 1984. The school accommodates for students with families thousands of miles away with boarding hostels. Place of Hope and Phila Ufunde meaning Live and Learn, the school’s motto runs through Ethembeni and its learners long after students leave the school.
